The Good and The Right
We might want to confuse what is good with what is right, it might be generalized that what is good is right but when it comes to personal dealings and levels of life, what is good is not the same as what is right. A lot of people have made decisions that are good but were not right for their lives and that became the reason why they found themselves in trouble.
What is good might be generalized but what is right should be personalized but what is right should be personalized, it is good to fry(generally) but it is not right for an asthmatic patient to fry(personally). Our individual difference mostly points us to what is right and not what is good.
For you to know what is right for you, you must first of all know yourself and from discovering who you are you will understand for yourself what is right for you and in that way, you won’t make errors in life. I give you an instance, a man with a life savings of 5 million naira, who decides to purchase a car of 4.8 million naira, it is good for anyone to buy a car of that amount because you will get the worth of your money but for this man it is not right for him to do that because that is a very unwise decision for him to make which he would later regret. It might be good for all but might not be right for you.
This also has to do with our relationship with God. God desires for you to do what is right and not just what is good. If a man stays on doing what is good alone, he will corrupt his life journey and that would cause him problem. We must decide ourselves to do what is right for our life in following the will of God for your life, doing what is right is you not importing someone else’s dealing into your life. Doing what is right is focusing and looking up to God for the step to take and direction, doing what is right is not doing what is good, doing what is right is doing what is right. Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 6:12 “I have the right to do anything, you say- but not everything is beneficial.
Live right and do it right.
